Orange Creating Digital Content

THE WORDS

Orange wanted to extend its Gold Spot cinema advertising into the digital realm while keeping the recognisable tone of voice of the beloved Mr Dresden & Elliot characters. After developing a dedicated website (Orange Film Studios) Orange required a selection of branded online spoof trailers for imaginary movies – ones that only Mr Dresden could possibly make up.

Sharing creative duties with Poke, Tricycle took over Shepperton Studios for several days to create a mock promotional spot for our intrepid director and producer.

“I was really impressed with Tricycles creative vision, enthusiasm and totally professional approach. The team had a thorough understanding of the Orange brand and have excelled in creating a series of laugh-out-loud funny films, which have been a great success.”

HOW WE DID IT

In true press junket style we see Messrs Dresden and Elliot interviewed by an increasingly sceptical Mark Kermode regarding their forthcoming ‘blockbuster’, intercut with action sequences and behind the scenes footage from the fake film.

These comic films helped to create a sticky website that had fans returning to view the latest content while sharing through social media. This allowed the brand to engage virally with a much wider audience.
